“Baked” Apples

Baked Apples


  • 2 apples
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. water


  • Core the apples, but leave the bottom intact.
  • Place the apples in a casserole dish that has a cover.
  • Mix the brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and water in a bowl. Pour the mixture in the hollow space of each apple. Cover the casserole dish.
  • Microwave for 3.5 – 4 minutes or until tender. Let the apple cool to a manageable temperature before serving.
